A database maintained by older Novell NetWare network operating systems. The bindery contains information about users, servers, and other important network configuration details in a flat database. The bindery is crucial to NetWare's operation and is constantly consulted by the operating system.
In NetWare 4.x and later systems, the bindery is replaced by NetWare Directory Services (NDS).
